As leaders in floating offshore wind, we are delighted to participate in FOWT Conference for the third consecutive year and take the pulse of the industry’s impressive growth.
At this 10th edition of the largest exhibition dedicated to floating offshore wind, organized by Pôle Mer Méditerranée and France Energie Eolienne, and co-founded by CCI Formation Aix Marseille Provence, our team has met with many industry experts, exchanged ideas and discussed the latest trends and innovations in our sector.
Anni Piirainen, Technical Project Manager at BlueFloat Energy, presented our Scotwind projects (Bellrock, Broadshore and Stromar co-developed with Renantis & Ørsted) as well as our recent success with INTOG programme with the innovation projects Scaraben and Sinclair. She discussed how our Scottish portfolio of over 3GWs, present a unique opportunity for Scotland to become a global technology and manufacturing hub at the “Breakfast Session: Scotland and the UK Floating Wind Opportunities” organized by Scottish Development International (SDI) with the objetive to update French and European floating wind players on investment and business opportunities as well as highlight collaboration opportunities between the European supply chains. Andrew O’Donnell, Investment Manager at BlueFloat Energy, stressed that “turbine suppliers will play a key role in the consolidation of the floater market, as they will need to dedicate their technical resources to certain floater technologies” during the session “Consolidation of Floater Technologies to Satisfy Non-Recourse Project Financing Criteria” where he shared his thoughts on bankability as a driver of floater consolidation.
