Sharing our expertise on Floating Wind at ECCT’s Low Carbon Initiative and Taiwan Power Company´s joint workshop.
Our Country Manager for Taiwan, Michael Pinkerton, presented our latest advancements and insights in floating wind technology as well as our ambitions for the upcoming floating wind demostration programme in Taiwan yesterday at the “Floating Wind Policy and Technology Workshop” organized by the European Chamber of Commerce Taiwan (ECCT) and Taiwan Power Company.
Policy makers from the Bureau of Energy, industry peers, and experts exchanged ideas and best practices, fostering a collaborative approach towards accelerating the adoption of floating offshore wind solutions in Taiwan. Launching a floating offshore wind demonstration programme in a timely manner with clear and fit-for-purpose rules would help kick-start a new industry in Taiwan and consolidate any country’s pioneering and leading position in the energy transition.
We look forward to the announcement of the guidelines later this year and to participating in the programme when the time comes!
