BlueFloat Energy welcomed the visit of an international delegation of Colombian government representatives and The World Bank Bank to Aberdeen, in the framework of RenewableUK’s Global Offshore Wind conference (RUKGOW23) and in coordination with the UK Embassy in Colombia (Embajada Británica en Colombia).

The delegation was hosted by BlueFloat Energy team members: Fernando Javier Sada Rodriguez, Grid Connection & Electrical Works Senior Director; Esther Villoria Dominguez, Head of Consents & Environment; Armando Politi, Country Manager Colombia; Susie Lind, Country Manager – UK
& Kirsty Adams, Head of Supply Chain and had the opportunity to visit Kincardine Offshore Wind Farm, one of the few operating floating offshore wind farms in the world, and Aberdeen Bay Offshore Wind Farm, a bottom-fixed offshore wind farm. This is a unique opportunity for the representatives of the Colombian government to see first-hand offshore wind farms in operation and gain insights into the different technology approaches in offshore wind industry. BlueFloat Energy is pleased to facilitate the exchange of experience between the markets where we are actively developing offshore wind projects and contributing to market development.

We are grateful to the UK Embassy in Colombia for their support in facilitating this visit. Together, we can continue driving progress, fostering collaboration, and advancing the offshore wind sector.
