As BlueFloat Energy’s Chief Financial Officer, Manuel Fernández oversees Finance, Human Resources and Organizational Development functions, driving the company’s financial strategy and ensuring that financial decisions and resources support BlueFloat Energy’s growth, profitability, and alignment with strategic goals. He also leads talent management and acquisition initiatives, fostering an inclusive workplace culture and overseeing HR operations. Manuel drives strategic organizational development to align resources with goals, contributing to BlueFloat Energy’s success in the offshore wind space.
Manuel has more than 25 years of professional experience in Renewable Energy and Infrastructure, with a global span. Prior to joining Bluefloat Energy, he has been the Managing Director in Spain for Swedish developer OX2 AB, where he led the renewable energy business, overseeing acquisitions and greenfield development while also building and developing a cross-functional team.
As a Chief Financial Officer for T-Solar, Sunedison and Torresol Energy, Manuel managed all financial aspects of the business across multiple regions. His responsibilities included buy-side and sell-side M&A transactions, Structured Finance, Investment Management and development of strategic partnerships, as well as digitalization, internal control and reporting.
Manuel holds an MBA from New York University’s Stern School of Business (USA) and a Bs in Economics from the University of Santiago de Compostela (Spain).
