Kirsty Adams

Head of Supply Chain

As Head of Supply Chain, Kirsty is responsible for determining the strategy to ensure our projects within the BlueFloat Energy | Renantis Partnership portfolio in the UK secure the supply chain required for success. This includes engaging with the local supply chain and developing a skills plan in order to maximise the economic benefit for the region, in which we are developing our projects.

Prior to joining BlueFloat Energy, Kirsty has spent over 8 years working in the energy sector. Kirsty joins us from ScottishPower Renewables (SPR), part of the Iberdrola group, where she has been leading the supply chain strategy for the past two and a half years. As Senior Supply Chain Strategy Manager, Kirsty was responsible for leading the drafting of the Supply Chain Development Statements for SPR’s ScotWind applications which resulted in securing 7GW in the leasing round, 5GW of this in 50/50 Joint Venture partnership with Shell. She has gone on to lead the implementation and monitoring of the supply chain commitments made through this process. Kirsty was also responsible for securing an approved Supply Chain Plan during the Contracts for Difference (CfD) Allocation Round 4 process, successfully prequalifying SPR’s East Anglia THREE project to go on to secure a CfD. Kirsty has also supported a number of Iberdrola’s global offshore wind ventures, where localisation and supply chain strategies are becoming increasingly important to secure seabed development rights.

Kirsty has been a representative on various industry working groups to date, including Scottish Offshore Wind Energy Council (SOWEC) and Offshore Wind Industry Council (OWIC)’s Supply Chain and Clusters workstreams, the Offshore Wind Growth Partnership (OWGP) Reference Group and the SOWEC Collaborative Framework working group. All of these working groups aim to tackle supply chain challenges with varying focuses and Kirsty has worked to apply her experience of the sector to identify opportunities and focus areas for the groups.

Prior to her role in SPR, Kirsty worked in the Networks, Retail and Energy Management businesses in ScottishPower, which has given her a broad understanding of the energy sector and the importance of the policy which underpins everything that we do.

Kirsty lives in Glasgow and has a BA (Hons) in International Business with French from Strathclyde University. Kirsty also spent one year as an exchange student at École de Management de Lyon in France.
