Concrete Industrialization Senior Manager

As Concrete Industrialization Senior Manager at BlueFloat Energy, Daniel is responsible for developing the supply chain for concrete floating foundations, drawing up a sourcing strategy and supporting our projects worldwide. Daniel establishes partnerships with suppliers, contributes to bid preparation and submission, and leads the center of excellence for concrete floaters.

Prior to joining BlueFloat Energy, Daniel worked at TYPSA within Port and Coastal Division over 10 years. He was involved in the design of a diverse pipeline of maritime projects such as port terminals (container, cruise, bulk), fishing ports, marinas, intake and outfall submerged pipelines, coastal protections, renaturation projects, etc. He contributed to  the design of quay concrete caissons, vertical breakwaters and GBS for offshore wind farms.

Daniel is a port specialist and has worked as a structural engineer, project manager and technical bid manager across all the stages of engineering design projects in a number of  countries, complying with a range of different standards.

An enthusiast of everything related to the sea and coastal regions,  Daniel is member of the Young Professional Committee of ATPYC (Spanish section of PIANC), which develops several activities of interest to port and coastal communities.

Daniel holds a Master’s degree in Civil Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Madrid (UPM) and a certification in Project Management Professional PMP®️ from Project Management Institute (PMI).
