Day 2 of the NZ Wind Energy Association Summit 2023 taking place in Wellington today promises rich insights for the fast-growing offshore wind industry in Aotearoa.

This morning Tom Young, BlueFloat Energy New Zealand’s Head of Environment and Consent, will be speaking about the environmental impact of offshore wind from a socioeconomic and environmental perspective. This afternoon William Thorp, Elemental Group Limited’s, Principal Advisor – Technology, will take part in a panel discussion with Hannah Konings, University of Otago environmental science and technology student and the author of the report: “Offshore Wind’s ability to enhance New Zealand’s Electricity Security of Supply.”
