Today, Carlos Martin Rivals, CEO of BlueFloat Energy, and Miguel Domingo Oslé, General Manager of Sener, explained during an informative session with the media the potential of floating offshore wind in our country. In addition to representing significant energy opportunities, with a strong environmental commitment for Spain, our offshore wind farms are conceived as driving projects at an economic and industrial level in their implementation areas. We have a clear differential model: the commitment to place the territory at the center of the energy transition through a process of social dialogue that ensures consensus, integration, and the return of projects to local communities, as well as the direct participation of citizens and various local stakeholders.
Spain can become an international benchmark in offshore wind, drive R&D and generate thousands of qualified jobs, but a regulatory framework is urgently needed: its absence is resulting in a significant missed opportunity for the country, and it would be advisable to prioritize it on this year’s agenda. https://lnkd.in/dSVQHmSn
