As Associate in the Commercial area of BlueFloat Energy, Julia supports the Head of Partnerships and M&A in establishing new partnerships to co-develop offshore wind projects. Her responsibilities encompass researching, evaluating and interacting with potential partners, compiling due diligence materials, outlining key terms and critical items in partnership documentation, transaction process management in close collaboration with regional teams, corporate functions, and external advisors.
Since joining BlueFloat Energy, Julia has worked on global project and business development activities. In her role, she supported the VP Business Development in market entry activities as well as in the design and implementation of project development strategies globally. Her responsibilities included market analysis, including regulatory, macro-economic and political aspects, potential partners and competition mapping. Julia also maintained regular contact with the local teams, development partners and other relevant stakeholders.
Prior to joining the company, Julia worked as Consultant in the Energy Advisory team at Enzen Spain. One of the key projects, in which she was involved, was the analysis of the Iberian region’s potential to become a hub for technological development and industrial leadership in floating wind for EIT Innoenergy.
In addition, Julia worked on the development of an offshore wind project and a wave energy farm in Lanzarote (Canary Islands, Spain), as well as several solar photovoltaic greenfield developments, including solar self-consumption projects. She also prepared successful tender proposals for telecommunications and renewable energy projects.
Julia holds a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering Business Management from the University of Warwick (United Kingdom).
