Daniel Martínez Gosálvez

Technical Project Manager

As Technical Project Manager at BlueFloat Energy, Daniel supports our project development activities. He is responsible for managing the technical aspects of our floating wind projects in our global markets, with a focus on supply chain engagement, coordination of technical consultants and external providers. Daniel also acts as an internal expert in floating offshore wind operations and maintenance (O&M) supporting BlueFloat Energy’s activity in this area and contributing to the definition of O&M strategy for our offshore wind projects.

Daniel brings five years of experience in the O&M business in the renewable energy sector with more than two years of first-hand experience in floating offshore wind operations and asset management. Prior to joining BlueFloat Energy, he was part of the core team that developed and implemented the O&M strategy from the commissioning onwards for the Kincardine Offshore Wind Farm off the coast of Aberdeen in Scotland.

Daniel served as project engineer and helped in the supervision of the offshore operations carried out during the O&M phase including the preparation and execution of maintenance plans and procedures, control of daily activities as well as ensuring compliance with the applicable HSE regulations and quality standards.

In parallel, Daniel played a key role in the execution and supervision of the major component replacement works carried out for two floating wind turbine units that involved subsea offshore activities, including cables’ and moorings’ disconnection and reconnection works, but also lifting operations of major components at the Rotterdam harbour.

Daniel earned his MSc degree in Energy Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Madrid. He also holds an International Business MBA from ICEX-CECO Business School.
