Chris leads the legal function for BlueFloat Energy’s joint venture with Renantis in the UK. He has responsibility for all legal matters across our portfolio of UK offshore wind projects, ensuring robust management of legal risks, identification of opportunities and the provision and oversight of legal support  across a wide range of disciplines from land and consenting to construction, grid and route to market arrangements. Chris is also responsible for effective Governance across the UK Partnership and is Company Secretary to the Boards of Bellrock Offshore Wind Farm Limited and Broadshore Offshore Wind Farm Limited.

An experienced construction and projects solicitor by background, Chris has been advising exclusively on energy projects since 2012. He has worked on major projects in the UK and internationally, both in-house and with top law firms, advising on all aspects of conventional and renewable energy projects through development, construction and operation.

Most recently, in his role as Lead Construction Solicitor with EDF Renewables, Chris advised on a number of high-profile offshore wind projects, including Neart na Gaoithe, Codling Wind Park and Blyth 2. He brings extensive experience of the sector to the UK team.

Chris lives near Glasgow in Scotland and is a qualified solicitor with an Honours degree in Law.
