As Head of Revenue, Bjarne has the global responsibility for the revenue area at BlueFloat Energy within the corporate Commercial area. In collaboration with Country Managers, regional and local teams, as well as Technical and Market Development functions, he is responsible for optimising the revenue position of BlueFloat Energy’s portfolio in relation to bid preparation (including origination) and market entry activities.
Prior to joining BlueFloat Energy, Bjarne served at Ørsted for more than 17 years in various revenue-related positions, most recently as Head of PPA & Revenue for offshore wind in the US. with responsibility for bid preparation of revenue matters, including origination and market entry activities.
In addition, he was involved in and responsible for a number of PPA transactions in Europe (long-term PPAs in relation to divestments as well as short-term balancing agreements) in addition to having been responsible for market entry activities for Ørsted’s portfolio of offshore wind assets in the UK, Denmark, Germany and the Netherlands. He started his career as an accountant at KPMG in Denmark and later worked for Ernst & Young for 10 years prior to joining Ørsted.
Bjarne is a Chartered Accountant (Statsautoriseret Revisor) in Denmark and holds a Master’s degree in Business Economics and Auditing from the University of Aarhus in Denmark.
