Government and Regulatory Affairs Analyst
As a Government and Regulatory Affairs Analyst at BlueFloat Energy, Sara supports our global advocacy efforts and outreach to policy makers and regulators. She is responsible for analysing legal, policy and regulatory documents related to offshore wind in the key markets, identifying key issues, risks and opportunities that may affect BlueFloat Energy business worldwide. Sara also maintains regular contact with the local teams, trade associations and other relevant industry bodies.
Prior to joining BlueFloat Energy, Sara worked as a Specialist in the Regulation and Markets department at Ocean Winds, where she provided analytical support to the development of major offshore wind projects in Northern and Western Europe.
Before that, she was part of the EDP Trainee Program, which included placement in the Energy Planning Department at EDP Group level and in the International Business Development department at EDPR. As a Trainee, Sara was responsible for developing a comprehensive analysis of energy market designs in different geographies, as well as supporting the development of solar photovoltaic and onshore wind projects in Latin America and Eastern Europe.
Sara is a strong offshore wind supporter. She developed passion for this industry during her studies when she wrote her Master thesis on the offshore wind potential in three Asian markets (Vietnam, the Philippines and India) supervised by the CEO of BlueFloat Energy, Carlos Martin.
Sara graduated in Economics and Statistics in Italy. She also holds a Master’s in Management degree from ESCP Business School (France), a MSc in Business Administration from Carlos III University (Spain), and a Master’s degree in International Business from Shanghai Jiao Tong University (China).
