As Country Manager – Portugal, Miguel is responsible for offshore wind project development in Portugal, where BlueFloat Energy has partnered with Greenvolt. Miguel manages site selection, consenting, development planning, tender preparation and establishes and maintains relationships with strategic partners and key local stakeholders.
Miguel brings over 13 years of experience in the wind energy industry, having held different roles in the industrialization, indoor assembly and manufacturing of onshore and offshore wind turbines and their components in several countries. Prior to joining BlueFloat Energy Miguel served for four years as General Manager of CorPower Ocean in Portugal, overseeing the deployment of a commercial-scale offshore wave energy converter. During these years Miguel has gained valuable technical, management, and consenting experience.
Miguel holds a Master’s degree in Mathematics from the University of Aveiro. He also holds an MBA from the University Fernando Pessoa in Porto.
