As Finance Director, Manuel is responsible for setting up the finance department, a critical function for the success of a high-growth venture like BlueFloat Energy. As part of his mandate, he is in charge of building processes and capabilities that allow for an efficient management of a large portfolio of companies in multiple geographies while optimizing the use of financial resources. He oversees financial planning, accounting, tax, treasury, insurance, guarantees, ERP system and other key finance-related areas.
Manuel brings to BlueFloat Energy a wealth of international experience having led finance departments in multinational companies, such as OHL and Vinci Energies Spain, where he was responsible for budget, business plan, cash flow, treasury, M&A processes, banks relationships, etc. Manuel also has extensive experience of integrating, managing and consolidating subsidiaries in large multinational groups. Manuel has a track record of successfully managing long and complex negotiations.
Prior to joining BlueFloat Energy, Manuel was a partner at Tucandeck, a start-up company developing photovoltaic projects in Spain.
Manuel has developed his professional career in a number of countries, including Spain, Romania, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and USA.
Manuel holds a Business Administration degree from the University of Wales.
