Arianna Sala

Wind and Site Assessment Analyst

As Wind and Site Assessment Analyst at BlueFloat Energy, Arianna supports the company’s business origination and project development activities related to site screening and selection. She is responsible for statistical analysis and processing of wind and oceanic data, conducting energy yield assessment estimates, estimating project capacity and optimizing wind farm, supporting the wind turbine and floater selection activities, as well as developing in-house methodologies and tools for wind and metocean assessment.

Arianna specialized in wind energy during her Master programme, which included courses on wind resource and wind farm yield assessments. She concluded her studies with a Master thesis project on the aerodynamics of floating wind turbines, in which she compared the results obtained with computational fluid dynamics with those of a lower-fidelity engineering code, obtaining good agreement between the two.

Arianna holds a Bachelor’s degree in Energy Engineering from Politecnico di Torino (Italy) and a Master’s degree in Sustainable Energy Technology from Delft University of Technology (the Netherlands).
