As Country Manager at BlueFloat Energy, Alexandra de Marichalar is responsible for project development in the Iberian Region, with a special focus on stakeholder management and project permitting.
Prior to joining BlueFloat Energy, Alexandra worked as Senior Manager, Energy Advisory at Enzen Spain, where she developed a study of the Iberian region as a hub for industrial leadership in the field of floating wind for an EU investment vehicle and worked on the development of an offshore wind project for the local government in Lanzarote (Canary Islands, Spain).
Earlier in her career, Alexandra worked in the Floating Division of DNV GL in Oslo, serving as a Project Manager for projects related to floating offshore wind innovation and industrialization. Previously, she worked as Project Engineering Manager at General Electric in the Sub-sea Electrical Field division for projects in the Northern Sea. She began her career by overseeing the internationalization of a Norwegian ocean power firm, including the establishment of a Spanish branch of the company in the Canary Islands.
Alexandra has been named by Business Insider as one of 29 women under the age of 35 who are excelling themselves in the country’s technology and engineering sectors. Alexandra holds MSc in Industrial Engineering from UPM (Madrid) and KTH (Stockholm).
